The Connecticut Heritage Foundation.
The Connecticut Heritage Foundation was established to support the programs and purposes of the Connecticut State Library and Museum of Connecticut History. This autonomous not for profit 501(c)3 corporation is governed by an independent Board of Directors. The Foundation opens the way for concerned private citizens, organizations, foundations, and corporations to support the preservation of Connecticut’s historical record and innovation in the delivery of library services. Donations are administered by the Foundation’s Board and held in its own accounts subject to the law’s requirements for tax-exempt foundations associated with state agencies.
Friends of the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (LBPH).
The purpose of the Friends of the LBPH shall be to draw together and unite those people who are committed to enhancing the level of services and resources of the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped serving the State of Connecticut, and to further enrich the lives of its users. Friends of the LBPH will act as an advocacy group for the library program and its patrons. Membership dues and donations will be used to purchase materials and equipment not covered by State or Federal budgets that will enhance the program and services provided. Contributions and dues are tax deductible. Membership dues are renewable at our Annual Meeting in October. The Connecticut Heritage Foundation, a non-profit organization created to support the programs of the Connecticut State Library and the Museum of Connecticut History, will act as a fiscal sponsor for the LBPH Friends Group.
